Motivation behind Roadblocks

By Char

When I come to a dead end in a chapter of my life, I think one thing, roadblock. As life takes us down a miraculous journey, we often tend to ask one question, "Why me?" Could it be destiny? Could it be what God has written for us? Or could it just be, that the choices we make send us down the roads we consider "bad." Either way, we sometimes lose sight of what good may come out of it, while walking down these shaky paths.

Everyone has been there and it's nothing to be ashamed about. If life were perfect, how would we learn to grow? Just for a second, think about a situation that you've been faced with and you felt like it was the worst thing in the world. Now think about what you've learned from it and how you've grown from it. If you didn't go through it, would you have ever learned what you did to the extent you did? You have the ability to feel the way you want and make the choices you want, so ultimately, in the end, the result is yours to choose.

It is said that when one door shuts, another one opens. At the point when you are faced with a roadblock, are you thinking what's behind the next door? I was a person who always was too busy worrying about why, when I walked through each door, it would slam shut behind me. One day, after much heartache and confusion, I decided to write down my troubles and was determined to find the answers. I would automatically freeze at a stop sign and my life would be at a standstill, as like many of yours. Here's something I learned to do in order to escape that state of mind.

Applying rules and regulations to your life can seem a little absurd to some, but if you do, you receive accomplished goals and dreams that you thought could never really happen. That's motivation peaking through saying "I’m here, let me in!" Constantly remind yourself that you are worth so much more to what the eye sees and that there is a place for you in this world, but remember, life is like an egg hunt. Discover all the pieces of your life that are hiding behind different corners and put them together to see the bigger picture. Whatever you choose to do with them is entirely up to you. Don't give yourself limits, try to touch the sky when you are reaching for your dreams. If you turn your negative thoughts into good ones and realize that everything happens for a reason, you can find positive ways to help you become a stronger individual.

Love, loss, and closure are often three of the biggest things we face in our lives and there is always some sort of heartbreak linked with it. Left with the thought of regret, anger or sadness, we tend to think we will never overcome it. We sometimes look past the light at the end of the tunnel, ignoring the fact that there might be something or someone better out there for us. Just like the moon orbits the earth, we are circling around these three things to find something that lacked what the last situation didn't have to offer us and once we get back to where we started from, it could just be the beginning of something incredible.

When you are stuck at a roadblock, you must make a plan on how to survive and help your way out. Believe it or not, mistakes are your survival kit. Without them, you wouldn't know what's right and wrong for you. A lot of your lives must seem broken, but faithfully wishing, here's a little bit of motivation to hold up your glass to. You hold the key to your own success and happiness. See roadblocks as a stepping stone to getting that much closer to success in whatever it is you want to do. Make a choice today and allow yourself to be the person you've always wanted to be. Invite and embrace roadblocks because at the end, they are the motivation we use to push through to walk to the other side of the road. When you look back, be proud of how far you've come and realize the strength you have to climb up high mountains. Roadblocks are not there to help you lose yourself, they are there to help you find motivation through the eyes of your struggle.
